Flintshire County Council
Wynne Construction renovated Connah's Quay swimming pool on behalf of Flintshire County Council.
The pool underwent a number of structural alterations, the most major of which involved reducing its length to competition standard. The additional space gained, facilitated the installation of a pool-side refreshment area and the development of a spectator viewing gallery at the upper level.
The pool tank and surrounds were re-tiled. Extensive structural repairs were carried out to the roof, including the replacement of the ceiling above the pool and the complete refurbishment of the changing facilities.
Mechanical and electrical work consisted of the replacement of all pool equipment, as well as the installation of heating, ventilation, security and lighting systems.
