Wynne Construction was awarded the contract for the refurbishment of the former Hotpoint site in Bodelwyddan by the Welsh Government. The old Hotpoint washing machine factory, which once employed 1,000 people, closed in 2009.
The 25 acre site, which also includes a 4 acre HGV trailer park, loading bay and a canteen, was bought by the Welsh Government in April 2014 to redevelop into more marketable units.
The refurbishment of the 395,000sqft factory involved the structural dismantling of a 121m x 30m wide section of the building and installation of two new gable walls to create the two detached units.
The work was completed in Spring 2015.
