Wynne Construction has been appointed by Ynys Mon County Council to build 10 new business units at Holyhead’s Penrhos Industrial Estate. The redevelopment of the former heliport into business units will provide 30,000 sq ft of office, light industrial and storage space to enable business growth and support of the low carbon energy sector.

Anglesey’s Economic Development officers successfully applied for £2.3m from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Welsh Government and, in a first for Anglesey, agreed an innovative joint venture – worth £1.6m - with the Welsh Government. The project is part of wider plans to develop Anglesey’s Enterprise Zone and Energy Island Programme. Construction will be complete and the units ready for businesses in summer 2020.

The units will complement other EU backed business premises on the Island, including the new businesses developments on the Bryn Cefni Business Park in Llangefni and the Menai Science Park, in Gaerwen.
