Wynne Construction has been awarded by Flintshire County Council the £4m contract for the remodelling and extension of Ysgol Glanrafon in Mold. This includes a £1m purpose-built pre-school provision on the site of the Welsh medium school on Bryn Coch Lane.
The extension of the site will allow the school’s capacity to increase and is funded through a Welsh Government Welsh Medium Capital grant.
The project has been identified by Welsh Government as one likely to assist with their target of a million Welsh speakers by 2050.
This project design process started in March 2020 and the remodelling and extension project is due for completion by end of 2021.
