Wynne Construction’s head of site health-and-safety has been featured in a leading industry magazine to detail how the company works to reduce onsite accidents.
Colin Proffit-Jones (our Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Manager) was featured in the June issue of Construction News.
Construction News is a key resource for news in the UK construction sector, ranging from contract wins to market intelligence and industry insight.
Within the article, Colin was quoted alongside other representatives from the sector. For example, he was asked about the processes in place at Wynne Construction that help to gather information on potential accidents, which in turn improve health and safety on site.
Colin also spoke about how site management teams are required to record all incidents on site and are awarded additional KPI points and incentives for the reporting of near misses.
Colin Proffit-Jones said: “Safety practice in construction is the beating heart of the industry and facilitates the successful progression of sites and projects. Wynne Construction always briefs clients on the near-misses and how we’ve approached them to show good practice. By sharing our findings with clients, they can assess problems on other projects they’re working on.”
As our head of HSE&Q, Colin works to ensure all construction sites the company are on run smoothly and achieve the highest of safety standards.
