Former international rugby legend Rupert Moon joined the squad of Colwyn Bay Rugby Football Club Under 10's to celebrate the sponsorship of the team by Wynne Construction. Managing Director, Chris Wynne met the team at their regular training session at Brookfield Drive and presented them with a set of new shirts. In turn, Chris was presented with a Colwyn Bay strip to thank the Company for their generous support.
Niall Waller, Manager of the Under 10's team, said "This is a fantastic boost for the team. Rugby is a brilliant sport to bring young people together, teach them crucial life skills and give them a real sense of achievement. The new shirts will help the team to build a great sense of pride. This support from Wynne Construction gives us a wonderful start to the 2013/2014 season."
Chris Wynne, said "Wynne Construction is very proud of its association with Colwyn Bay Rugby Club. The Company originated in North Wales in 1926 and has delivered a wide range of excellent projects in Colwyn Bay, so this has been a great opportunity to support the work of Colwyn Bay Rugby Club and the Under 10's side. We wish them all the best in the season ahead."
The recent projects completed by Wynne Construction in Colwyn Bay for Conwy County Borough Council include the new multi-purpose indoor sports facility at Parc Eirias, home of the North Wales Rugby Academy for the WRU, the new Watersports Centre at Porth Eirias, the technology centre at Eirias High School and a new sports centre at Ysgol Bryn Elian.
