Following the completion of design work for the new school buildings and facilities for Rhos Street School and Ysgol Pen Barras, Denbighshire County Council and Wynne Construction held a well-attended pre-planning drop in session on Tuesday 26th April at the Ruthin Farmers Market.
The event saw around 200 parents, staff, Governors and residents attend the event which showcased the site plans and 3D images for the new development which will be located at Glasdir Farm.
A flythrough of the site can be viewed by following the link below.
Karen Evans, Head of Education and Children’s Services: “I was heartened to see a positive response to these proposals which will improve significantly the teaching and learning environment for both Rhos Street School and Ysgol Pen Barras. We will be reflecting on the comments received and these will strengthen the scheme as it moves into the planning stage.”
Chris Wynne, Managing Director, Wynne Construction added: “We were extremely pleased to meet so many children, parents and local residents and other community groups during the evening. We look forward to continuing our community engagement and other activities as the project progresses.”
It is expected that the plans will be submitted to the planning department on April 29th and will be available on the Council website shortly afterwards.

Yn dilyn cwblhau gwaith dylunio yr adeiladau ysgol a chyfleusterau newydd ar gyfer yr Ysgol Stryd y Rhos a Ysgol Pen Barras, cynhaliwyd sesiwn galw heibio cyn-gynllunio ar ddydd Mawrth 26 Ebrill ym Marchnad y Ffermwyr Rhuthun gan Gyngor Sir Ddinbych a Wynne Construction.
Mynychwyd y digwyddiad yn dda gyda tua 200 o rieni, staff, llywodraethwyr a thrigolion yn bresennol lle arddangoswyd y cynlluniau safle a delweddau 3D ar gyfer y datblygiad newydd a fydd yn cael ei leoli yn Fferm Glasdir.
Karen Evans, Pennaeth Addysg a Gwasanaethau Plant: “Cefais fy nghalonogi o weld ymateb cadarnhaol i’r cynigion hyn a fydd yn gwella’n sylweddol y amgylchedd dysgu ac addysgu ar gyfer y Ysgol Stryd y Rhos ac Ysgol Pen Barras. Byddwn yn ystyried y sylwadau a dderbyniwyd a bydd y rhain yn cryfhau’r cynllun wrth iddo symud i mewn i’r cam cynllunio.”
Ychwanegodd Chris Wynne, Rheolwr Gyfarwyddwr, Wynne Construction: “Roeddem yn hynod o falch i gwrdd รข chymaint o blant, rhieni a thrigolion lleol a grwpiau cymunedol eraill yn ystod y noson. Rydym yn edrych ymlaen at barhau i ymgysylltu a’r gymuned a cynnal gweithgareddau eraill wrth i’r prosiect fynd yn ei flaen.”
Disgwylir y bydd y cynlluniau yn cael eu cyflwyno i’r adran gynllunio ar Ebrill 29ain a’r byddant ar gael ar wefan y Cyngor yn fuan wedi hynny.
