Wynne Construction was appointed by Powys County Council to build the new £7m Ysgol Gymraeg Y Trallwng primary school for 150 pupils, situated in Welshpool.
The innovative scheme combined the old and the new with the refurbishment of the Grade II listed building, formerly known as Ysgol Maesyrdre, and a new extension to create the first Passivhaus hybrid project in the UK.
The project started in June 2021 and the school opened in April 2023.
