Overview
Wynne Construction is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager to join our growing construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to take ownership of projects from start to finish, ensuring delivery is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
As Site Manager, you will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate site teams and subcontractors, and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include
- Manage all daily site operations to ensure successful project delivery.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor construction activities in line with programme requirements.
- Requisition materials, oversee deliveries, and prioritise the efficient use of labour and resources.
- Fulfil the role of Temporary Works Coordinator on site.
- Supervise employees and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely and to programme.
- Ensure all workmanship complies with project specifications, building regulations, and Wynne Construction quality standards.
- Maintain compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and ISO45001 standards.
- Implement and monitor quality and environmental control procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Complete and maintain all required HSEQ documentation and records.
- Liaise closely with Contracts Managers and Quantity Surveyors regarding labour, subcontractors, cost control, variations, waste management, and project programming.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, design teams, neighbours, and other stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in a Site Manager role within the construction industry.
- SMSTS qualification.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Appropriate CSCS Card.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, CDM, and current building regulations.
- IT competent with experience using online construction management systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Degree, HNC, or NVQ in Construction Management.
- Fire Marshal qualification.
- Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
