Overview

Wynne Construction is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Site Manager to join our team.

Working closely with the Site Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of site operations to help ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities will include

  • Assist with the daily management and coordination of site operations.
  • Supervise employees and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to programme.
  • Ensure the construction site and welfare facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
  • Monitor workmanship and finishes to ensure compliance with specifications, building regulations, and health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Promote and maintain adherence to Wynne Construction quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Complete daily and weekly HSEQ documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, design teams, neighbours, and stakeholders.
  • Order materials, check deliveries, and manage the safe storage and distribution of resources on site.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience assisting Site Managers on construction projects.
  • Experience working within live construction environments.
  • IT competent with experience using online construction systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • Degree, HNC, or NVQ Level 4 in Construction, or currently working towards one.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Fire Marshal qualification.
  • Appropriate CSCS Card.
  • Good understanding of current Health & Safety regulations, CDM, and statutory building regulations.
