Wynne Construction was appointed by Ynys Mon County Council to build three phases of the new business units at Holyhead’s Penrhos Industrial Estate, situated on the former heliport in the town.

Phase One

A total of 10 new business units were completed in August 2020. These units provided 2,800m2 of office, light industrial and storage space to enable business growth and support for the low carbon energy sector.

Phase Two

The second phase of the development started in May 2022 to build an additional 7 business units and these units were completed in January 2023.

Phase Three

The third phase of development commenced in February 2023 with an additional 6 business units (919m2) were completed in November 2023.

Anglesey’s Economic Development officers successfully applied for £2.3m from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Welsh Government and, in a first for Anglesey, agreed an innovative joint venture – worth £1.6m - with the Welsh Government. The project is part of wider plans to develop Anglesey’s Enterprise Zone and Energy Island Programme. Phases two and three utilised £5.4m of ERDF and match funding to deliver the projects.
